Tube Blank is a Chrome extension that hides words in YouTube subtitles so you can practice English listening comprehension. This page explains what data the extension does and does not collect.

Data we do not collect

Tube Blank does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically, the extension never:

• Records or sends your browsing history or activity
• Reads or transmits subtitle content to any server
• Collects analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
• Identifies, tracks, or profiles individual users
• Communicates with any server operated by Broad Quest Limited or any third party

Local settings storage

The extension saves your preferences (enabled/disabled state and blank percentage) using the Chrome storage.sync API. This data:

• Consists only of your own configuration choices
• Is stored in your Google account's sync storage and is accessible only to you
• Is never accessible to Broad Quest Limited or any third party
• Can be cleared at any time by removing the extension

YouTube access

The extension is granted access to youtube.com solely to read and modify subtitle text in your browser as videos play. No subtitle text, video metadata, or any other YouTube content is transmitted outside your device.
